Ok, I am now devouring season 1 and 2 on DVD.
This show is taking over my life. i am now on show #5 1st season.
I find Trixie the prostitute quite hot with the Striped thigh-highs.
(ia am also drunk so don't listen to me about that)
This show is well written, not so well acted methinks, that montana guy has got some serious bill paxtonisms and not in a good way. Ian Mcshane obviously is a bad ass MF acts hids ass off, Powers Boothe as well.
That aside i am generally pleased with the direction it's going. i did not read the previous posts as i don't want to ruin the plot for myself.
good show.
That lion has a pipe, he's smoking!

Dority is the same guy who played Warren in "There's Something About Mary".

34Wow, where's your baseball, Dan?
The last episode was so great. Finally Hearst is getting a taste of his own medicine. I so want Bullock to slap down his smug ass.
I've been watching since the beginning and I still try to watch them all twice to pick up on everything they are saying. So many funny lines hidden within the mixture of profanity and properness, that I have a hard time picking it all up the first time. That's one of the things that I love about it though.
"Good mornin'....best time a day to go fuck yourself!"

35The most telling moment in the last episode was at the end, when Bullock dragged Hearst down the thoroughfare.
Swearingen looked down from his balcony - noticed that Merrick saw the whole thing, and said "not a fuckin' word of this in your paper" - to which Merrick nodded in agreement. Nobody fucks with Deadwood.

Yeah, that and it looks like Alma's relapse is going to throw her right in the middle of the showdown with Hearst, Bullock and Al.

37best show ever. the interviews with Milch are my favorite. he's an amazing guy. you know why you like that show so much, right? cuz he writes it in blank verse. i read an interview where he talked about how anyone that was educated back then would've learned to read by reading shakespeare, virgil, the bible, etc, so he decided to use verse when he could. he does an amazing job.
i love ian mcshane's soliloquies to the head in the box. better than shakespeare.
also:
-there will be no 4th season. there were some budget problems so HBO and milch have decided to make 2 two-hour movies instead of another season. deadwood costs a ton of money to produce.
-milch is in the middle of putting together a pilot for hbo (or whoever) for his show "John From Cincinnati," about surfers living on the polluted border between California and Mexico. he has only described it as 'really weird'

I loved that - first 'indian head' conference of the season. Whatever works for him, I guess - the blowjobs certainly weren't helping.

39Ian McShane is pure menace in "Sexy Beast".
George Hearst was the father of William Randolph Hearst, which fact I at least find interesting.
About the Dority vs. Captain fight, I found it odd that the Captain was wearing gloves, and thought it might presage a gouging, albeit not one so dramatic.
I thought the online poker tie-in, as promoted after the episode, to be a bit wonky.

It is what it says: Deadwood vs. Lucky Louie's Audience. Well done, if nothing else.
