great lyrics, sounds, and songs. Falkous certainly was doing some interesting things with vocals on The Difference Between Me and You... it sounded kind of like he was distorting them and using them in place of guitar on songs like That Man Will Not Hang and Dave, Stop Killing Prositutes (a b-side). I'd love to hear some comments from Steve on working with them.
Has anyone heard Shooting At Unarmed Men? Probably a seperate topic...

This is one of about a hundred bands that I have found out about and learned to love because of this board.
I too can't believe that I had never heard of them before late last year....
See, this is what happens, when I decided to stop reading all music magazines a few years back....but, honestly the recomendations for music on this forum are a thousand times better than anything NME, Pitchfork, MOJO, etc. could crap out...

One of the few bands where I have seen colors when I listen to them. The first record is totally monochrome to me. The second is monochrome with a touch of yellow, like a bumble-bee.
Eat that J. Hendrix. I didn't even need to take any psychedelics.

Shite, I haven't even got through all of Mcluskyism yet. The first disc is an excellent best-of. I like the sequencing, all the songs sorta bleed together. Second disc (odds and sods) is decent, a few real standout tracks. They were a joy to watch live.
Sadly missed.

Best gig I've ever seen, that one. No, seriously.

crap. such a shame that they remain one of the few 'underground' (i use that term very loosely) UK bands who have been able to tour the US in recent memory. there are a stack of bands here that wipe the floor with them.

i'm not exactly sure what i am meant to infer from that picture!
in my humble opinion, there are many better british bands. i'll happily send you a parcel of such music on whatever format you desire. that goes for everyone, not just chaps who have recorded mclusky.
