I swore I did this yesterday, but maybe I never hit submit... ah well.tallchris wrote:New Helms Alee is AOTY for me right now.got to agree. It's amazing.also way into the new Big Business - The Beast You AreAnd the (VERY NEW!) Austerity Program - Bible Songs 1As far as much that is not heaviness music but still awesome:Hurry Up Shotgun - This Crystal VesselIs damn incredible, and they are easily the best PRF band that most people on the PRF have never heard. Stunning stuff!Newest Night Vapor record technically snuck in at the end of last year, but is great too:Night Vaporhighly recommended for fans of Killdozer and U.S. Maple. Excellent broken noise rock. I'm into the new J. Robbins solo record UnbecomingThe new B. Hamilton is damn amazing too, but not publicly available, will check back when it is. It slams.

Kaleidoscope's "After the Futures" is the hardcore noise record I've been waiting for. Listening to this a bunch the last three days.

HOLY SHIT! This record. All over the map but still totally coherent. Noise-rock, post-rock, ambient, black metal, post-metal. Lots of screaming, long pastoral passages, and Alex-Dunham-like guitar noodles. Highly recommended.https://glassing.bandcamp.com/album/spotted-horse
