AEA R88 Mk2 (holy shit, this microphone is just the best.)AKG 451B x2BeyerDynamic M88 x3BeyerDynamic M201BeyerDynamic M160EV RE20Placid Audio CopperphoneShure SM7Shure SM91Sennheiser 421Sennheiser 441Wunder CM7 FETAs far as preamps, I have a 2 channel Great River, a couple channels of Daking preamps, an AEA preamp (I'd love to get 2nd to pair with the R88) and a Tonelux preamp. I'm typically recording in someone else's studio, so most of these are meant to bolster the typical mics found in studios.

At work, which (as you can see) is a performance venue. But many of them are also great for recording, which happens sometimes. A couple of weeks ago I loaned some (and did my best to explain the Haas effect) to four teenagers making their first EP. i keep it real small, as just about everything i record aside from vocals and acoustic guitars is DI'd...- sennheiser md441- shure sm58- shure mv88- sonarworks xref 20when i eventually break down and buy an amp and/or an acoustic drum set, i'll need to expand the mic locker. for now, though, it works perfectly for me...

Wow.I wonder why Mojave quit making them. They're only doing LDCs these days.

The Josephsons are probably more precise, but can be a bit harsh, the Mojaves are a little bit more pleasing to the ear.

Anyone have one laying around and want to sell it on the cheap? There's one on Reverb but it's totally not worth $100. The nasty sound we were getting with this mic really blended nicely with the other one.
