True story. One of my closest friends growing up was family friends with Rick Ducommum. (My friend’s dad managed a local comedy club.) And Ducommun was friends with Bruce Willis.

On my friend’s 13th birthday, Bruce Willis called him to wish him a happy birthday. On the birthday call, Willis also asked my friend, “So, you getting lots of pussy?”

Ducommun and my friend’s dad also used to exchange a fruitcake every Christmas. As in, the same fruitcake. They mailed it back and forth to each other every Christmas for years.

i've never been in a real relationship or loved before .. even my marriage was friends with benefits but like insurance benefits lol but as far as boyfriend's ditching me or berating it seems like the only care element has always been confused hormones but i always love seeing couples who genuinely love eachother haha i feel it for them but only got a taste mostly on my end of what that could be like but it's like a foreign language almost that i don't know why makes me smile when i definitely am alone and couldn't imagine being loved that way

I really, really miss reading Simon Leys. There's plenty to revisit but what I wouldn't give to read his swimming in the now.

I don't want to pay someone to fix my fence. I could fix it myself, but I also don't want to fix it myself.

I have been thinking this off and on for over a year now at different times. One good NTX summer thunderstorm is gonna take that part that needs fixing down if I don't deal with it.

What's up with the 19th century and its superfluous usage of the period in signage and advertisements?
