A friend’s dad, a linguist, has adopted a Spanish phrase that this meal has me stealing: “full as an egg!”

"Jesus H. Christ in a chicken basket!!" is a pretty good one.

Older electrician fella at work referred to a past troubleshooting experience as “pissing in the dark.”

Not sure why I’d not heard that until today.
