This arrived the other day. I am such a sucker for DIY gonzo wiring jobs. I don't care how impractical, how loopy, how it should be wired like a Strat or an LP or they should have just gone to the Seymore Ducan website 'cos they have all the correct diagrams right there' or any of that shite!
I just love that somebody DID this! 'Well done that man/woman/person" I say!!

This is what I bought:

The gonzo madness I found underneath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could have at least used a few different wire colours!

I feel we need more wooden pickguards.

If nothing else, it'd be a good halfway house in the "indestructible finish" v. "desire for visible wear and tear" wars.

That's everything I love about guitars, right there. I bet it sounds fantastic.

Looks like I did that wiring job, except it's neater!

I've been thinking we should have a relicing C/NC...

It was done before but I've certainly broadened my stance on it in recent years.

That thing is wild, I think the technical term for that wiring scheme is "every which way".

What does it do? Tone on every pickup? Phase flip? Coil taps?

It probably does back flips for all I know at this stage. Treat it right and it may time travel!
It does all seem to do something but the guitar needs a little work before I can see what that is.
That rotary switch is no shrinking violet either - 5 position, 4 deck, double pole .... I think:

Is this Japanese handiwork or did it happen after it left the homeland? Any idea?

The DIY B-bender Telecaster copy I bought off this thread (old version) is a marvel of "fuck it, I'll make it myself"craftsmanship and I love that about it.

This was done in Japan.
