Now I need to find one for $100 or less!
I think this was used by Greg Ginn on late Black Flag.

You can make out the three jacks on the right. I found another photo that was more low res but you could see a footswitch cable plugged in.

This thing is a blast, super rare outside Canada, but sounds so good through anything. They originally sold with the power amp in the cab because Vibration Technologies hates the human form

I spec'ed it all out to clone because it's my favorite thing ever - which I should still do because the five people that would be interested deserve it

The power amp's faceplate design, uh, really grabs one's attention!

I usually think logos are ugly and distracting and I cover up or remove the most ghastly examples. This would definitely get some black gaffer on it immediately upon entering the home.

I loved the old Peavey logo for it's middle-school-hesher's-notebook-cover-drawing look but they're such an egregiously crap company now I'd never display it any more. That reminds me, I wonder what BRW did w/ the logo plates I sent him.

Garth wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:10 am I wasn't previously aware Fender used "M-80" for multiple products. They made a bass combo w/ this moniker (from the era of the light-grey rat fur IIRC) that had a chorus on it that I really loved. A bit of a shame it's not on this pre-amp as well.
Going by memory...

The "Guitar..." amp line seems like it was -

- Half stack(with or without chorus)
- Single twelve/two twelve combo version of the head from the half stack. Honestly can't recall ever seeing one without the chorus.

On that particular chorus circuit, it is kind of a shame that Fender never did much in the way of "Modulation..." effects with that take in mind.

I bought that half stack because it wound up a little bit closer to some of the "Ronald Jones In The Flaming Lips..." sounds than Peavey stuff from that era. Always get just a little bummed that said "Modulation..." sound is lost to the past outside of hauling one of those amps around with you.

(Upside, the cab from that half stack is way light...)

It does have it's moments...

(It's even a stereo cab. So nerdy.)
