Thanks, Lu, that looks good for the little dude here.

I would appreciate recommendations for more-or-less educational channels for precocious middle-grade kids.
My kid really wants to watch Kurz Gesagt – In a Nutshell videos but I think most of those look like trash.
Anyone know of a better equivalent?
Our big go-to's over the past couple years have been:

Jared Owen
Animagraffs
Checkerwelt

and lots of music (and sometimes art) content. Plus all kinds of bushcrafting / rough building stuff.

I've been wanting to put together some new playlists over the holidays.
Would really appreciate age-appreciate recs for science, engineering/building, history, languages (he's doing Japanese on DuoLingo).

My sister gave me the following tip over break, CrashCourse, great stuff:

Ha, I kind of couldn't stand the format and speed of the memes flying by when I would come across his stuff for a long time, but I've become addicted to this channel over the past weeks while indulging in buying some second-hand electro hardware. I love old, hated, underloved or underappreciated electronic gear, and he profiles a lot of things that I've already fallen in love with over the years, like the DR660 or DR202. Now I'll take a look at his reviews when I am interested in something, to see if it is my kind of bad.
