Depending on the rye, you could go with Boulevardier through summer. Pick a high rye content "grassy" rye, and with lower alcohol, in place of something like Rittenhouse, which is dark and rich with lots of corn in the mash, and 50% abv IIRC.
That's good to know. Rittenhouse has been our favorite when we can find it ( have to go to an actual liquor store instead of the supermarket), but I may branch out. Of late we've been drinking bourbon with Pronto Amaro Apertivo (might be exclusive to Trader Joe's) plus orange bitters and orange peel garnish. It's good and orangey, if that's your thing.

Not familiar with the Pronto, which, comically, is how many Italians I know answer their phones.

If you've not had one, Kingston Negroni is fantastic. Choose your favorite r(h)um and do the same specs as your Boulevardier.

Haven't been drinking much lately but it's been a fucking week (some high points as well as the obvious CRAP) and I'm making myself a Damn Hell Ass Cocktail this evening.
Isn't this what you mean?
I hope so!

Longrow now. Might be my favourite of the Campbeltown single malts.

Going with the flow here and made my wife (who also had a week) and I boulevardiers. No campari in the house so used Aperol

Kilkerran Heavily Peated, Batch 10. Unbelievably good. So thick and oily on the palate.

Lone Star Vodka (good as Tito's, a bit cheaper) with Topo Chico. No citrus added because yuck.
Don't drink whiskey very much these days, but I enjoy it when I do.
PSA Please don't drink and drive.
