Michael Air Jordan?
There's two of them, innit?
C Michael Jordan! Jordan, Michael, Jordan! Michael Jordans.

Uh, okay. I guess the movie was alright.
I got some hype before seeing it, not knowing much else than it was vampire movie and thought "this is a serious and important movie" and was kind of baffled by it.

I still do not understand this movie. I have no idea how this movie really moves anyone above what True Blood did for 10 seasons.

If I was ever gay, I would let Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård Eiffel Tower me until I die of exhaustion.

Fuck Sinners and fuck their stupid ass vampire songs, and fuck everyone for making it more than what it supposed to be.

CRAP.

Finally watched last night - I’m bewildered this won awards! A slick Hollywood Mish mash that can’t gets its story straight. The weird mix of themes (earnest self determination, the power of music) vs Tarantino style schlock just doesn’t work… and what’s w the oral sex fixation?! The whole thing had Baz Luhrman vibes - big, loud and visually shouty but nothing to offer in terms of character or story…blockbuster schmalz

As my astute daughter said, the film kept telling me how I feel about the characters, problem is I didn’t feel any of it. Basically a Marvel movie wrapped in a really effective period evocation of the South.

Watching the live performance from the sequence of "I Lied to You" on the Oscars was the business. Exceptionally moving.

I follow a few horror content creators on Instagram and it was wild reading a plethora of "critiques" dissing the movie as a ripoff of From Dusk Till Dawn- laziest take ever - or that it wasn't a horror movie, or it focused too much on race. It's one thing entirely to not like or to not be engaged because of educated analyses but it's clear that at least online, and possibly in th' meat world, that the film triggered in folk anti-black sentiment. Love seeing racists out themselves by highlighting just how incredibly stupid it is following a racist philosophy.

I overheard a guy at work say he wished that "the whole movie had been about the Irish guy." Based on other comments he has made, I don't have to guess why he has that opinion.

It's a pretty bad movie. I'm kinda amazed it got as much hype as it did because I just think it was a stinker. Couple of moments of good performance but a whole lot of bad ones too.
