Also a huge number of Steeleye Span songs; 'The Blacksmith' being my favourite story of theirs.

I never really got into her solo stuff; my mum loved it though. Those scratchy old Steeleye recordings are marvelous though.

absolutley.

convention as well.

my dads mate used to be in a sort of steeleye tribute band.
he still pulls the old songs out after a few whiskys.

not to get too friendly i would have to say that time passes by paul weller is not only great but a sort of story

Lots of those folk tunes are stories like that...

Fairport Convention, Pentangle, Bert Jansch all have lots of that going on.
