i used to be in sound design/post production in chicago and think i heard about the board from a friend of a friend or something.

for anyonethat missed it, the first half of this thread is actually better than a year old and was written in the aftermath of a fairly heated intellectual property argument that i started. i had forgotten about this board entirely until someon bumped this thread a few days ago.
