No no, that was ME, and this is well evidenced in the essays I wrote whilst at uni.

Who am I kidding? I never went to university. I did a correspondance course in proof-reading and these days I check to see if there are any speeling mistaks in chinayse restyrant menyous.

Nice subtle dig at the poor spelling in Rabbit's post...

Maybe it was; there are some pretty strong opinions relating to Marx in 'The Rebel' (if my knackered memory serves), so perhaps that was it.

Hey, screw you!

You try checking your posts for spelling after being up all night with your 4 week-old son who is utterly dedicated to depriving you entirely of sleep!

I'll get you for this, you see if I don't!!

Hmmm, that was more him expressing dissatisfaction with the Soviet take on Marxism. Overall Camus’ writing and ideas were more concerned with pure philosophy than politics.

A little bit whiskey and water in a bottle will fix that.

There were certainly parts of The Rebel which concerned themselves with the direct criticism of Marx and (unless I'm insane) it is documented that Camus knew nothing about Marx other than what he had picked-up indirectly.

Yeah, Rabbit, make it a triple measure and you'll sleep much better!

*EDIT*

In the light of Rabbit's swifter response, I withdraw this joke.
