Mengede and Page apparently had a HUGE falling out. Lots of bad blood there.

Hopefully the next Helmet record will be really good. I'm a little optimistic after Monochrome, but not much.

Disappointed by Betty but maybe will revisit and pick up cheap copy of Aftertaste.

Still, an eternal NC for Meantime. Plus, props for the little breakbeat theft of Hendrix' "Fire" in the middle of "Unsung."

That's why I have to give them Not Crap. Because 'Blacktop' is one of my favorite songs ever.

This i find insanely hard to believe but i'll trust you on it. There must've been something great there 'cause i don't hear it, but it's been a while since i've heard 'Strap it On' so maybe i should give it a second chance.

Was a fan, stopped caring around Aftertaste. Missed seeing the Page Hamilton Experience when they passed through earlier this year due to work; I would have checked it out even if I thought it would suck.

I used to have a letter Page Hamilton wrote me after a champagne glass shattered in his hand. He told me later he'd probably squeezed it to hard because he was about to throw it at somebody.

His handwriting was all fucked up.

I just thought that would be a nice story.

And, of course, I love dropping names.

Not fair, a godly noiserock band like Cows will always win in fan polls against a semi mainstream oddball metal band that doesnt fit in any genre.

although personally I like way more Helmet songs than Cow songs, I don't know anyone other than me who would ever admit to liking helmet more out of punk rock uberness.

Not a fair comparison. Two bands with far different styles.

That said, you can probably tell which band I like more...
