1983 Ibanez Roadstar II series bass. Looks just like this one, same color and everything:

Pickup has been replaced with a Bartolini jazz bass set, the inside mounting flanges sawed off so the pickups sit right next to each other like a regular humbucker.

For whatever reason this is the bass that has worked best for me for a long time now. I like it a lot. Cheapest bass I own and the only one I really play. I'm coming off a period of flirtation with a high end Warwick. It mostly sits in the closet now. Thinking of stringing it up B-E-A-D.

I currently have a 1992 American Telecaster, tobacco sunburst
and
an All Parts Tele copy. It's made quite well and I usually prefer it to the real one. it's cream in color. The pickups are Rio Grande, I believe. They are very warm. Better than the stock USA single coils. I'm not a gear head and don't know pickup stuff like I should, but these are very nice sounding.
Playing them through a Rivera Knucklehead and Marshall 2 12 cabinet.

I've got an 80s korean squier. I was at a guitar shop one day and I saw it for 130 bucks, picked it up and my hands fell in love. I bought it, sold my highway 1 strat and upgraded the pickups.

Apparently, some people think the first korean squiers were made from the leftover parts of the mid 80s japanese squiers. This sounds right, I have the same gotoh tuners and string trees on the headstock as my friend's MIJ fender. The neck is finished and very slim, super high quality, I love it. Some people say their's have plywood bodies, but mine was a couple of pieces of alder.

In any case, if you ever stroll on upon a E10XXXXXX korean strat, pick it up and try it.

Here's almost the exact same one, but red, on ebay:

For comparison, most of the shitty squiers have these tuners and unfinished necks:
