He's already admitted he doesn't actually care, or is effected by any of this and is just trying to Win At Internet. Tedious and exhausting.

Easily the best person in the US government. It's a shame he's been continuously railroaded by the DNC.

I've said all sorts of nonsense upthread that nobody liked, so I won't belabor that any further. Also, I live in a reliably Blue State, so my input is mostly irrelevant. I just get a little sick when hear this kind of lowly pandering for certified baby killers from our beacons of liberal thought.

Penningtron must have like three users he actually sees on this forum.

I'm not a big fan of Kamala Harris, and consider her to be like any other DNC establishment candidate. However, I will take that over a definite slide into autocracy with Musk and other oligarchs tossing Trump's salad for federal contracts and obscene tax breaks.

Unfortunately, they're likely to get those contracts either way.

I would hope their fortunes go the way of the Pillow Guy or Giuliani after going full MAGA. Plus Musk seems pretty determined to flush his (and the Saudi's?) Twitter investment down the toilet.

One of two people is going to hold the office of president in a few months along with the massive amounts of power that goes with it, and one person is worse in every single way. As much as I hate the whole horrible system and want to burn it all down, that is the reality we are dealing with. I don’t give a shit about abstract, intangible things that might as well not even exist like “principles” or “morality”—I care about actual felt experiences of people. Some principles might be a good general rule to reduce suffering, but it is reducing suffering that they are in service of, not the other way around. We are being forced to choose between piss and shit floating in piss, and filling in the bubble next to piss isn’t an endorsement. I view abstaining/voting third party for president “on principle” if in a swing state as nothing but a terrible strategy and posturing.

All that said, there are ways other than voting to keep Trump and other horrible people from holding that much power. There’s entire stadiums of people cheering for genocide of POC and trans people, and I wish people would make those in power enabling them more afraid of leaving their homes than they do us.

I've yet to read one of your posts that proposes a viable solution. If we've met in person or are connected elsewhere, please reach out for a rational discussion--maybe you can enlighten me here as to how you feel we should be voting, particularly for those of us who vote in primaries, work the polls, deal with people much much much less fortunate than ourselves daily, etc.

I had a trans student tell me they're afraid to leave their room recently. "These trumpers are going to murder me and they'll get away with it."

I'm all ears here, pal.

Barring that, I no longer need to see our word on this forum.

This despite all of the anti-environment stuff that he's said and done for years.

I'm a little more pessimistic about which way MI will go.
that was my major takeaway from the Joe Rogan interview. He gave trump every opportunity to pay lip service to environmental concerns and he went completely opposite. He couldn’t even appreciate RFK without reassuring big business that he’ll have no influence in any environmental decisions.
I imagine EVs will get similar arms length treatment.

By all means point me to my quote that says Russia is being invaded.

The thought of Rogan and Trump bloviating for three hours is repugnant.
