That’s kind of where I’m at. If it weren’t for my band/music obligations and my gf dragging me to social events, I’d just stay at home and read. I often have fantasies of living in a trailer on a cheap plot of scrappy desert land in West Texas, waking up to watch the sun rise, drink coffee and read all morning, go walk around, come back and nap, read some more, watch the sunset, read myself to sleep, and repeat.
Time for my yearly allergy bitchpost. The cedar pollen is making me feel like a limp turd. There’s a Stygian river of snot running from my sinuses to my stomach. I’m bloated and cranky. I can feel the pollen in my eyes and on my skin when I go outside, and most of my job is spent outside. As FM Trey might say, I feel like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag. The cedar trees will quit ejaculating in a few weeks, and then I’ll get a a couple of weeks reprieve until the oak trees start getting randy. I’m on all the medicine except Benedryl, and I’m an inch away from buying a value pack and taking a dose big enough to see the hat man. Goddamn you, Juniperus Ashei. May the decades of fire suppression come to fruition and most of you go up in flames.

My youngest, who will be attending Illinois State University in the fall, has been indecisive on their major... originally Music Ed, then Music Composition, but recently changed to Creative Technologies.
Looking it up online... whoa, I knew that Rick and Rose from Poster Children were professors, but I did not know they taught at the Creative Technologies school at ISU. I was under the incorrect assumption that they were at University of Illinois/Champaign.
So, my kid may have Rick and Rose as professors?? Holy shit.

To be fair, there are no good bands with "three" or "third" in their names.

Three Dog Night had a few jams, also proto-Beatles Liverpudlians, The Big Three.
There was also apparently a band with Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson of Minor Threat simply called "3", but I never heard them.
