ETA: Wernehm, I think this is the first time I have really addressed you since you changed your name to Yut, and I'm hoping it will be the last (although no promises on either count).
You are obnoxious for two reasons. The first, I'm sure you're probably aware of (if only on a subconscious level), and that is your incessant strawman usage. The word "strawman" gets thrown around a lot, and is sometimes used incorrectly, so I'll provide a brief definition - essentially, you make up some bullshit position that is obviously stupid, then you claim, incorrectly, that your interlocutor holds that position, then you ridicule him for holding such a stupid position. So that's one thing you do, but you probably knew it.
The second one, you might not be aware of, and that is the fact that you argue like a middle schooler who is in love with his own precociousness. How
clever that you figured out that a hybrid car doesn't get that great gas mileage! How
clever that you realize that the Democrats aren't that much better than the Republicans on the environment! Gold star! No, they're not impressive, the observations you come up with, considering that anyone who survived to the age of 19 while paying any sort of attention to the world around him has come up with the same thing - but what tops it is, you deliver these precious observations with a tone that drips condescension for all of us poor saps who (in your mind) haven't figured it out yet. The closest parallel I can think of is the annoying teenage atheist. When it comes to insightful, deeply thought-out political commentary, I will turn to Billie Joe moron Armstrong before Yut.
It may be this adolescent infatuation with your own cleverness that fuels your love for Frank Zappa... I couldn't say for sure.
In conclusion:
Boooo!
