The people in Ohio believing that the Haitians were eating their cats really speaks volumes about "the heartland." They could invalidate Sweat Vance's racist garbage with their own eyes.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.

I guess since we're forced to think about this shit now, him and Musk will not get along and that situation will implode. I'm not even sure Trump is crazy about a lot of the Project 2025 ideas either so that'll be a battle of dumb and dumber too.

Oh, and if it wasn't obvious, RFK Jr. was being played so it'll be funny watching him being dumped faster than Sarah Palin. (or like a bear carcass in Central Park..)

But that's where the popcorn eating ends. Deporting even a fraction of the people proposed is not only morally horrible, but will completely tank the economy.
The vultures waiting to tear apart the ACA with help from a complicit SCOTUS fills me with dread. The Trumpies with pre-existing conditions maybe didn't stop to consider what a post-ACA country would look like.
Don't worry, they're going to replace it with something BETTER!!!
Like what, death? Oh, wait.

It's amazing how labor unions will now endorse the most anti-labor politicians. They're headed by capitalist shills who direct their members to vote against their own interests. I guess it's on them for buying it.

It’s totally on them. Maybe it’s just post-election bitterness, but I can’t imagine supporting striking Teamsters right now. I have only so much time, energy, and money to give, and there’s none to spare for them.

People deep in that world who I used to follow on Bluesky were not happy with O'Brien's moves, and his seat is already being challenged. But as it stands, that's how it worked out and effectively endorsing Team Musk is beyond shitty.

How about a three cheers for Gen Z men! Who could've foreseen raising you on Youtube and toxic podcasts would've turned you into such pieces of shit.

we cut them off from society during the pandemic so yes social media and iPhones are a big factor on top of everything else that is causing them to be more depressed.

It’s not just that. My oldest child has confirmed that the toxic bullshit gets shoved your way whether you want it or not. It’s engineered to elicit strong reactions, which makes it talked about, which makes it viral, which means that social media thinks you need to participate in the conversation.
