Thought I'd try again on this one--

Anybody have a copy of

Jimmy Scott
Falling In Love is Wonderful?

the internet wrote:This title is no longer available from Rhino Handmade. However, numbered copies from the original edition may be ...

Produced by and featuring Ray Charles on piano. After four decades of suppression, Jimmy Scott and Ray Charles' 1962 legendary Tangerine recording [was] finally made available on Rhino. Hailed by many as a musical masterpiece.

Are you put off about sharing it period, or just posting it on the board?

The pm feature works well for case like this.

Just a thought.

Sorry that 'lil Kevvie got angry with the downloadin'. He should eat our collective asses...it's his music, but he should remember that he put it out there in order so that it would be heard and enjoyed in the first place...why he's pissed about people enjoying his impossible to find record is beyond me. If it was an easy find, I'd be more sympathetic.

I've been busy, thanks for sharing...wish I wouldn't have missed the download.

Love,
P.J.

Alright, fuck it.

Sorry Kevin. Sorry Rayj.

I've gotten a few messages about it, so I'll re-post the whole set tomorrow.

Yeah, I would post it, too. It sounds schizophrenic, but I think the real gist of Kevin's e-mail was that in this case, he is a bit conflicted. My real reasons for even bringing it up in the first place are primarily related to watching a friend of mine...a 'experimental' musician with an active and thriving (?) label...work hard and constantly just to manage his situation (releases, rent, etc.). I don't for one second think that SJ makes enough money to be considered anything but a labor of love...

Plus, after getting a personal request...well, I'd just have a hard time looking in the mirror.

In the future...well, maybe I'll just shut the fuck up. It's definitely an odd 'gray area'...one I obviously still haven't come to terms with.

It's all an interesting argument. And really unfortunate.

But here's some music....

Yeah.

Fripp shortly before re-uniting Crimson. With Sara Lee on Bass. This record is awesome, a little tape cuts, and just plain weird ass New Wave/Disco syncopation.
