Any pointers on how to speed that process of healing the vocal chords up? Tee? Honey? Pickle juice?
Do they sell Throat Coat tea over there? That stuff works great for me.
Would this be it?

Almost, but not quite. Throat Coat has slippery elm bark along with licorice root.

Last night I was watching something on TV and needed to get up to pee. I was sitting in my La-Z-Boy chair and my wife was asleep in our bedroom. The living room was dark except for the TV screen. I took a few steps and, at the last possible moment, I saw that one of our cats was laying on the rug that is behind my chair, which he never does. I was in mid step when I saw my cat and I was about to step directly on his back. Somehow I shifted my momentum to avoid crushing him, but in the process I lost my balance and dropped like a stone. I felt my forehead bounce off the floor, and then I was out cold. I don't know if it was for a few seconds or a little longer, but I woke up and tried to stand. It was like when a boxer gets dropped in the ring and tries to get up but cannot. Everything was in slow motion and I could not summon the strength to push myself up, so I just laid there for a few moments until the room stopped spinning. Must have scared the shit out of my cat because he was nowhere to be seen. I finally got to my feet and hobbled to the bathroom and pissed. Luckily my head hit the rug and not the hardwood floor. I came back and sat down, for how long I can't remember. Then I thought I better wake my wife and tell her, just to be safe. She immediately thought I have a concussion, which I probably do. She said I told her the story 3 times in a row. It was and still is very painful. It was the hardest part of my head that I hit, so there is not so much a bruise as there is a stinging carpet burn. This morning I realized my knees were stinging with pain and I realized I also carpet burned the skin off of them. My wife applied Neosporin to them and bandaged them for me. I'm okay but still in a good deal of pain.

It's the second time in my life I've been knocked out. The first time was when I was a kid and my asshole cousin hit me with a one in a million shot with a croquet ball in the middle of my forehead. I was out for longer that time because by the time I woke he had already gone inside the house and brought our mothers out to me. They were furious with him. I don't talk to him anymore.

Today is ouch.

Glad you're seemingly alright!

I was all set up to begin practicum for my grad program. The department that accepted my placement changed their mind after months of reassurance and excitement about my placement. I might be fucked, temporarily.

My Outlook (desktop) decided today that it's not talking to my gMail account anymore.

I didn't change anything.

If it was set up using POP that may be the issue as Gmail is phasing that out. See if you can set it up using IMAP instead.

Hi Sir,

It's the IMAP throwing the error!

I forgot that I have to stay signed in (duh) for the Foe List feature to work. Argh.
