That GBV Marshall is most certainly a 50-watt 2204, not a 100-watt 2203. Person who has listed it needs to look at their own photos and zoom in on that back plate. Listing is inconsistent throughout.

It doesn't really matter but if the listing is incorrect, it always makes me wonder what else is inaccurate about the listing. Since this is being sold as borked I guess it doesn't matter but still...

I have the exact same model too. I don't think the number of digits denote year on these, Pretty sure its the letter. Mine ends in L which means 1979. I can't make out the letter in that listing.

Prices on these things have gotten nuts. But yeah, $1900 for a potentially blown transformer is way too much. I see they relisted it starting at $1200.

Marshall origin 50W head on sale at GC this afternoon for $499. I want a twin as a cleanish pedal platform that can be loud and doesn’t break up too early. I played it and it might do the trick? I wanted to crank it but alas. It was packed in there.

Also some nice Epi Les Pauls used for not too much. Wish I had all the money, bc I need a better bass cab as well. Urgh.

We should have regular PRF gofundmes specifically to indulge stupid purchases like this or anything snakesking, etc. I’d be in for $20-$40.
