A member of the Shure community was kind enough to take extensive photos of the evening. You can find them displayed at this link:

Absolutely!! I don't know how manage to keep the rocking going the way they have, but I know it's what John, Doug and Michael would have wanted without a doubt.
Thanks for the link, Mr. MacChimp.

I had this great dream about Michael, Adam, our Mother and myself... back in the days of that noteworthy photograph that could be found somewhere on this very site, or maybe it would have been a couple of years prior. It was prior, when we skateboarded alot. Michael and Adam were wearing these jeans that had a kind of built in belt and elastic stuff around the back. My Mother and I were talking, and watching Adam and Michael in the driveway sort of doing something, walking, talking. Michael's pants were high water, he always got the hand-downs and I guess you never really know when its time to shelve hand-downs.
I woke and realized I was dreaming of Michael! How lucky!

The Hawk Winter Music Festival presents
The Returnables label: Dirtnap
The Dials label: Latest Flame
The Negligents
THE RETURNABLES headline, playing a special show that marks both the release of a new EP and their final show as a band. As most of you know, RETURNABLES member JOHN GLICK was killed in a tragic accident last year, and this show has been organized to honor his contributions to the band and these final recordings, which will be issued on Dirtnap Records later this year. They'll be joined by THE DIALS, who lost drummer DOUGLAS MIES in the very same accident, and THE NEGLIGENTS, who will open the show.

I know that Mr. Chimp took notes and will present a more thorough summary. But in short, it was a very quick proceeding. Apparently Cermak Hospital has finally provided the documents that were requested some six months ago, which is good. The prosecution has concluded their discovery (for the most part), and the defense still has some discovery yet to conduct (I think).
There were about 15-20 of us there.
After the brief hearing we were briefed on the case. The lawyers we spoke with informed us that - while it may seem to be taking a long time - the case is coming together rather quickly. The trial is still likely to be a long way off.
There were quite a few people at Empty Bottle for the show on Saturday. The Dials kicked ass. The Returnables were great as well. It was great to again be in a room with so many people that I enjoy.

For anyone not on the 3friends tightcircle email chain this is an article that Heather sent around.
I love the use of the word "allegedly." I don't claim to understand the legal system nor the reporting of the legal system. But I find it amusing.
Hope to see people there on 4/3.

Sliwinski records arrive from Cermak Hospital
BY MIKE ISAACS
STAFF WRITER
Jeanette Sliwinski's lawyers have finally received records from Cermak Hospital where Sliwinski was hospitalized after allegedly slamming her vehicle into a stopped car and killing three men last summer in Skokie.
Charged with first-degree murder, Sliwinski has had several lawyers over the last nine months, almost all of whom have expressed frustration that Cermak Hospital, a part of Cook County jail, has not cooperated in turning over records.
But Sliwinski's attorney, Thomas Breen, said at a Feb. 16 court appearance that the records had arrived that day and he would need time to study them.
Prosecutors claim that Sliwinski of Morton Grove slammed into the back of a stopped vehicle in Skokie last summer at a high rate of speed in an effort to kill herself. She survived the crash, which killed Michael Dahlquist, 39, Douglas Meis, 29, and John Glick, 35, all of Chicago. The victims, musicians who worked together, were on their way to lunch.
Last week was Sliwinski's first appearance in court where she showed no signs of injury from the crash. She was in a wheelchair during her first court appearances and then on crutches. She hobbled with a limp in more recent court appearances.
But on Feb. 16, Sliwinski walked freely. She also appeared to have gained weight since her last court hearing.
Sliwinski's mother and father were in attendance, having come to each of their daughter's court appearances. Also in attendance were about 15 friends and family members of the victims, most of whom have also attended each of Sliwinski's court appearances.
Sliwinski's next court appearance is scheduled for April 3.
