Having moved out of four-track land and into a studio for its second LP, Space Needle waves goodbye to all the warm 'n' fuzzy lo-fi noise of its debut. Expanded to a trio … Space Needle now makes a mighty roar when it launches into one of its funny-smelling, instrumental noisescapes. Like its predecessor, THE MORAY EELS EAT THE SPACE NEEDLE also features actual "songs... Drummer/keyboardist Jud Ehrbar's tunes are minimalist pop nuggets, mostly about being alone or apart. They feature light instrumentation with a slight crackle of distortion and wonderfully simple vocal harmonies.

An attempt to expand the band with additional musicians failed to materialise, so in their usual assured approach Polyphemus the duo … bursting with loud layered guitars which could not fail to excentuate the remarkably strong pop songs they had written. Influences encapsulated the mad mid sixties pop psychedelia of The Who and The Byrds … references from contemporary sources such as Sonic Youth…

Also, the copy of Low's The Great Destroyer is all screwed up on my computer and I don't have the CD here in Madison. Could somebody PM me a clean copy?

The Zom music - I go to grab her from the Space of Sending but she is gone.
Where did she go, these Rifle Sports?

She is to keep me company as I drive to the Durhams, Caroleen du Nord but she no exist no more.
