Had some storms the other night, and it seems the dew point finally dropped. Today's the first day in a long while that we've felt compelled to leave the windows open for much of the day. Feels damn good. If it's like this tomorrow the trick-or-treaters should have a swell time of it.

On balance, there's no better place to spend autumn and Halloween than in the north.

It cooled down a good deal more the past few days. Been enjoying it.
If it could be like this (high fifties to low seventies) indefinitely, I'd be pleased as Punch.

OMG I almost crushed a tiny jumping spider because I thought it was a clump of dust. Now it's curled up in a ball and doesn't move. Hope they're just scared and not hurt.
Didn't even know they existed here. Fascinating. Just after watching several videos of them the other day as well.

I'm playing guitar in the pit orchestra for my daughter's high school musical; it's an adaptation of Footloose. That little riff is trickier than it sounds. We had our first performance in front of an audience this morning, underclassmen mostly. We start public performances Thursday.

That's awesome! I hope your performances go well!
Thanks! The sheer number of key changes was a little overwhelming at first; going from three flats to four sharps to natural to 5 sharps in one song...my score is more yellow highlighter than paper at this point.

My lady and I did couples therapy today to address a potential problem. It was a preventative measure, trying to head an issue off at the pass. It was a good move, I think. We both like each other a lot, and neither of us wants to screw this up.
Went fishing with my old bandmate Laura, her husband, and FM Redheadache this afternoon. We sat on a dock as evening set in, just shooting the shit about this and that. We’re all learning how to socialize again, and the whole thing felt refreshingly normal.

I had a phone conversation with a guy yesterday about a work thing. I got two projects mixed up with each other and said some stuff that was incorrect. He told me so, and I realized my mistake and said so. The stuff we were talking about had nothing to do with the main purpose of the phone call either.
So this morning I get a long email asking me to confirm 8 points about our phone conversation, i said this, you said that, I told you this, etc.
I was bullshit mad. I had when people try to nail me down like that. It is a bullshit lawyer trick that I am not falling for. So I sent him an email back saying yes, i made a mistake when talking about the project. That wasn't why I called you in the first place. And I did not appreciate the nature of the email and it is not conducive to relationship of trust and confidence, which I had thought we could build.
He called right away, all defensive and then apologetic.
Fuck him. I am not having that bullshit. You want precise perfect conversation and official records to cover your ass - then email me. I will not be discussing anything on the phone with you anymore pal. I obviously can't trust you.
Fucker.

Sold an amp to a guy who kept sending me lowball offers until he finally asked £25 under asking.
After he'd tested it all out and handed over the money, I asked him if he had a place he could properly turn it up; he said he was going to put it in their other house in France...
