I’m thinking about this SG but I dunno, do I really need it?

332You could always just buy it and if you dont bond with it you can always chuck in on the fire. The sort of wood smokes real good and adds value to a home.matttkkkk wrote: Thu Jun 08, 2023 6:40 am I’m thinking about this SG but I dunno, do I really need it?

333What are the odds on a soviet string machine purchased from the ukraine ever making it to Canada...
Re: Gear talk: TALK ME OUT OF IT
334Depends on their Reverb rating and probably where in Ukraine they are.mdc wrote: Fri Jun 09, 2023 4:34 pm What are the odds on a soviet string machine purchased from the ukraine ever making it to Canada...

Re: Gear talk: TALK ME OUT OF IT
335I've had a few shipments of Soviet tubes from Ukraine recently and they all arrived. Took about 6 weeks though.
Re: Gear talk: TALK ME OUT OF IT
336I posted that and sure enough an older Korg equivalent came up for sale about an hour away for half the price of the soviet thing. KISMET I SAYS
Re: Gear talk: TALK ME OUT OF IT
337then I realised the Korg was over 4' wide and decided I do not need that in my life and I will continue to just wait for a streichfett to turn up used.
Re: Gear talk: TALK ME OUT OF IT
338Any opinions on the AEA KU5A? Maybe too close to the N22 I already have. Price is the biggest strike against it as its almost as expensive as a Royer R121
Re: Gear talk: TALK ME OUT OF IT
339christ I just bought the Jesus Reverb, thanks guys, at least I found one down in the Cloudburst price range. I'll see about getting myself a bowl cut and a PRS ten-top.

340A GK 800RB.
I don't play bass (but I do play baritone) (and despite not playing bass I have a bass, and one of the new (Gtr. Ctr. house brand?) "Acoustic" amps, and 2 of the new "Acoustic" cabs.)
And I don't play gigs. (The practice space is a 5000 sf. warehouse though.)
I should just sell some crap and buy the 800RB FM Nate Dort just fixed up, right? I've completely failed to talk myself out of this purchase I have no need for.
