it's an old photo either my friend john or my friend tim took. it's originally in color, but it was taken from a xeroxed sleeve from the first kerble cassette (98?) and then redone in b+white by Nick Lama.

Richard Avedon always photographed people against a superwhite background, and printed them very high contrast.

I saw Ty Webb in my hashbrowns this morning, but no one believed me because I live in a house of sinners.

I said "mostly", because he's probably best known for his superwhite stuff.

I'm in a class now taught by one of his students, and it's sort of funny how her tastes were very obviously shaped by his.

For the record, I am not an Avedon fan.

I got my hair cut at Aveda a couple of times.
