He told me so, and I realized my mistake and said so. The stuff we were talking about had nothing to do with the main purpose of the phone call either.

So this morning I get a long email asking me to confirm 8 points about our phone conversation, i said this, you said that, I told you this, etc.

I was bullshit mad. I had when people try to nail me down like that. It is a bullshit lawyer trick that I am not falling for. So I sent him an email back saying yes, i made a mistake when talking about the project. That wasn't why I called you in the first place. And I did not appreciate the nature of the email and it is not conducive to relationship of trust and confidence, which I had thought we could build.

He called right away, all defensive and then apologetic.

Fuck him. I am not having that bullshit. You want precise perfect conversation and official records to cover your ass - then email me. I will not be discussing anything on the phone with you anymore pal. I obviously can't trust you.

Fucker.
Dude has now established the level of trust in your professional relationship. In a weird way he's done you a favor.

And he's also shown you who he is at his core. Also good info to have.

I always have allergies this time of year. I don't even know what I am allergic to - no plants are making pollen right now are they? Ech. Claritin-D and Benadryl will get me through.
Some of these items listed below could be the culprit, if you've had the first frost already where you live: https://www.oakdaleent.com/will-hard-fr ... allergies/

Am in the south. We've had some chillier days (like today) but no frost yet.

Whatever the cause of this, I look and feel like a corpse--more than usual. Am just glad not to have any pressing responsibilities.
ZzzZzzZzzz . . .

Congrats FM Penningtron! Now is a good time to make a change.

My details: Elder son home from college for the Thanksgiving weekend. My elderly parents also came for the weekend. Company was nice, homemade pies, turkey dinner, all that was great. UM beat OSU, which was even better. Not so great: Elder son brought college flu germs home and got everybody sick. He was all good by Sunday, the rest of us were laid low. Got tested on Saturday, no COVID, but still a bad cold, possibly flu. My wife is at home today creeping around in a blanket and still coughing. I got a flu shot a month ago, and I am feeling OK. Not great but good enough to go to work.

Get a flu shot, everyone!
