Didn't you live in-country when that shit came out?

Yeah. It was depressing. I was steeping myself in all this great Brazilian music when a wave of shitty country music started bubbling over the rim.

This is way better than anything that we call country music here, no yarling, no hair metal flourishes, no rapping, no fat hillbillies. That said, it sounds nothing like a hit, but if you told me Enrique Iglesias knocked that one out in his sleep, I wouldn't be surprised.

Is this real? It just seems like a perfectly concocted Onion article. I feel bad for enjoying this so much, when it seems like a mean spirited parody of my colonial cousins.
“And then when you want to drink, you have to have a drink that’s on a little menu that they make,” she says. “So if I want to have a martini, ‘Oh, it’s not on the menu.’”
AKA how menus work.
Ha ha...yeah, I couldn't finish it, but as an ex-expat, I can vouch for the entitled and completely oblivious behavior of some of my fellow Americans. To be fair a lot of them are housewives who get tossed into the Euroblender, left to try to make things work at home while their husbands work a 9-5. They quickly figure out it's not Emily in Paris, and inform their husbands the fun is over, and they're going back to somewhere you can get ice in your diet coke. The couple in the article just seem to be particularly misled into thinking that France was an all-inclusive resort.
