As for the CocoRosie video, she can't rap, so I'm out pretty quickly on that one too, but I make it farther than I do with the Stryper video.

CocoRosie are much better when they give up their rap pretensions. Songs like "Hairnet Paradise" or "By Your Side" showcase their better aspects.

I mean, when they step into that rap arena, they just get slayed.

If there's anything to be said about Cocorosie, it's that they are really pushing the boundries of dumb. You can't just bang out shit this dumb. If you got a bunch of musicians in a room and asked them to write something profoundly dumb, they wouldn't be able to get close to this. They are visionaries of dumb. An exceptional dumb. The Jimi Hendrix Experience of dumb. They've got a idea about dumb that the rest of the world hasn't really caught up with yet.

I happen to think it's pretty good, not the best version I have of that song but they were trying something way different with it here and well, I give them credit for that

18 pages in and I can't take it anymore. This band is utter SHIT!!!! CRAP!!!!

I have listened to rare live versions, unreleased songs, album tracks, and watched videos while trying to see something.....anything that would show me they have talent. There is nothing there, they all suck. I don't know what's worse, her childlike rapping or her annoying off pitch pixie singing. Marsup is so crazy about this band, so I've giving them about 3 dozen more chances than I should have. Fuck CoCorosie and their shit music. On top of that one of them was/still is dating this douche..


It's only going to get worse and that's the only reason people will still be talking about them.
