-eyes that slide back so the villain can hide in a secret compartment behind the painting, and peer through at scooby and shaggy as shaggy say "that painting gives me the creeps, scoob" as the eyes follow him around the room

Thank you, big_dave! I can't believe that I forgot that part. Perhaps there can also be a candelabra on a pedestal next to the painting, which if removed reveals the secret moving wall and the path to my supervillain lair.
