It's an album called 'Stolen Tapes," which is LH performing covers. Another fantastic one is of the Scientists' "Solid Gold Hell" - if there was ever going to be a band to cover that song, the Laughing Hyenas were it.
Also, if you can get it look out for their 1986 demo. It's brilliant because it isn't produced at all, virtually. I tend to find their albums overproduced, but the demo is just right.

Thanks! I've always found the Scientists completely boring, maybe if I hear them filtered through the Hyenas I'll "get it." I think it's both the production and the sound of their instruments that keep me away from the Scientists, even the live stuff sounds totally meh to me. Always felt like the performance wasn't there, though I wonder how much is do to the aforementioned sound/recording.
I agree and disagree on LH's production. Most of the albums sound pretty great and are completey listenable (Hard Times was a bit much for me), though they're clearly a band that demands to be in the raw.

Oh man, the scientists are so great! Boring? no way! Check out the "We Had Love / Clear Spot" single, and their first, self-titled album.
I can understand not being into them at first, it took me a while, but then it hit me over the head and now they are one of my favorite bands.
If you want me to send you the laughing hyenas stuff, PM me.
