Re: What Video Games Are You Playing?
361I'm 49 years old and I just beat my first video game ever, Jedi: Fallen Order. It was a blast.
Fantastic. Love to see this.jimmy spako wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2024 12:31 pm I'm 49 years old and I just beat my first video game ever, Jedi: Fallen Order. It was a blast.
DayZ is such a frustrating game to play. You never have bullets, you are always starving or freezing to death, and as soon as you see someone, their buddy snipes you in the face.codetocontra wrote: Fri May 31, 2024 9:14 pm I've been enjoying watching people play DayZ. The shenanigans involved creates a fascinating narrative. Don't think I want to participate.
Thank you! It feels good, being able to get obsessed about new things, exercise my brain a bit and recharge some instead of doom- or envy-scrolling.A_Man_Who_Tries wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2024 2:07 pmFantastic. I haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 yet, but it seems the definitive game of its type and I think it ticks all your boxes.jimmy spako wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2024 6:35 am If you get a minute, what are your favorite cross-platform online RPGs (preferably open-world) and what do you like about them? I wanted to play something with my best friend from small times in the States and his son, who's headed off for college, and possibly with other old friends. Was interested in RDR2 for this purpose, but it's not cross-platform apparently.
I loved BG3 so much. So satisfying just collecting wine barrels to pile up and use a s a nuke to destroy 50 goblins at once. The Banter between the characters is great, and EVERY single NPC in the gam REALLY wants to fuck you. You get a pet dog too.A_Man_Who_Tries wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2024 6:59 amI haven't played Baldur's Gate 3 yet, but it seems the definitive game of its type and I think it ticks all your boxes.jimmy spako wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2024 6:35 am If you get a minute, what are your favorite cross-platform online RPGs (preferably open-world) and what do you like about them? Play Rust. It's DayZ Light. Still an annoying experience but if you find the right server it can be kinda fun.
If you liked the first one, Survivor improves the game in almost every single area. I thought it was much better than Fallen Order, and I really enjoyed both.
Thanks! I actually picked it up on sale before finishing FO after watching some short reviews, it looks great, excited to start it.free meat wrote: Sat Jun 08, 2024 3:38 pmIf you liked the first one, Survivor improves the game in almost every single area.
