Al Foul of Tucson’s Al Foul & the Shakes. I spent many a night at an Al Foul show, which could often get out-of-hand. The party would often end up on his front porch with all of us way too drunk and Al rattling on with that raspy voice of his. He died of throat cancer last week, age 50.

Bummer, those soundtracks are influential beyond film. Sounds like it may have been an assisted suicide after dealing with chronic illness, very sad.

That’s sad to hear. 65 is way too young. “Questions in a World of Blue” is such a beautiful song. It sounds like nothing from any era of pop music.

So both Dean Stockwell (Ben in Blue Velvet) and Julee Cruise have died in the past year. If I were Rebekah del Rio, I’d be scheduling a check-up.

If I’m not mistaken, a current or former FM wrote a song that appeared on one of Cruise’s records.

Just recently I saw those Modern Family episodes where he plays the neighbor who Luke befriends.

Fantastic actor in everything, but Mr. Bookman the library cop in Seinfeld is one of my favorite bits of his.
