Oh that's a beauty.

It was Jon in Florida, trying to remember his handle…
Barbo. I checked his archive earlier tonight trying to find the story and couldn’t, but I’m not very good at that sort of thing. It’s a killer story!
Correct. It was in the middle of another one of those threads that had devolved into tens of pages of in-fighting, but I don't remember which one..

Back in 2011 I made a thread about visiting Sicily and said we'd be near Catania and a few folks (Steve, Tim, maybe a few others) encouraged us to visit Agostino and Giovanna. I thought, their bands are cool but that's a little weird, why would they care about us, etc. Just do it, they said. Ago even posted and reassured me a bit, he occasionally posted with a ton of emojis which was always humorous. Anyway, we met them, and ended up walking around the city for about 6 hours with Ago. Top 10 day of my life for sure. He talked his way into a castle/museum that was friggin closed. "My cousins came all this way.. how can you turn them away.." We climbed the castle staircase and got panoramic views of the city. We learned how to properly drink espresso. He yanked this promo poster from the museum and handed it to me, which I then carried rolled up on trains and airplanes for 3 more days and hangs in my living room to this day. And so on.

Anyway, fast forward our friend is on a wine trip near Mt. Edna right now and we said the same thing: go meet them if you can. They only had a few hours to meet up but I got some pics in a text last night saying she was so happy she even cried a bit during their long conversation.

So yeah, that was a good thread.

My partner still has a FB account and just wrote through that a couple months back. They have a business called Indigena that has contact info on there too. I think one of them might check the Bellini account on IG as well.

"I had created David Coverdale, I was God"

even THAT is a paraphrase.
Yeah, man. The way Barbo told that story was exquisite and I hope it's not lost to the ether. "The entire room became lost in his sex" and shit like that.

I talk to Jon fairly frequently, if that story is gone I will make sure he rewrites it somewhere because it was absolutely one of the top ten posts on the old forum. I’ll also dig through the database to see if I can track it down.

I wonder if her face transmogrified into Les Claypool.
