So you work at McDonald's?

I jest.

Hell(o) everyone. My first post on the General Discussion board. Hope I survive, you've got a nice place here.

Oh yeah, and my little detail is that poison ivy sucks, bad. Worse than a yeast infection.

Welcome!

After three days spent almost exlusivly in front of my computer (3hrs of sleep last night) today i took 4hrs off and had a great bike trip. Went to sleep at 2:30 AM with alarm set at 5 AM as i have a deadline for work im doing today. At 3 AM a good friend of mine calls and asks if she can come by. Sure, i say, as i wasn;t going to catch much sleep anyway. She just went out of the pub and is very drunk. We sit in the kitchen, i drink two beers while she barerly takes a sip of from her bottle. After a while she is about to pass out, so lay her on the bad and turn the computer on to continue my work. Goddamn, having a woman as attractive as her (like, 8 out 10. HOT.) in my bad and not to have sex with her. CRAP! She lies within my arm reach. OK, back to the boring stuff. It's 5:11 AM.

Well don't let her see your signature image or she'll NEVER do you.

[quote="bumble"]I am in the Philippines.

I ate MORE Korean food, and then dived twice off of Hilutangan Island, a protected wildlife refuge.

That was...[drooling on keyboard]...wow.

On the way there and back, the rolling swells were as big as our boat. Bigger, even. Waves were splashing over the boat while we rocked from side to side in an, uh, exhilarating way.

I don't normally experience envy, but I am envious. This sounds great.

The girl may have a future in architecture.

That's mine on the right.

Many years ago, a friend and bandmate was teaching at a school for special needs kids. I went there one day and we played some music for his classes. I offered to let any of the kids who were interested bash on my drums. One young man, Darius, actually had some real potential. I offered to start giving him lessons.

Two days a week I would pick him up from his grandmother's house (mom was an addict and off doing what addicts do) and I would take him to my practice space and let him bash away. I would also take him to get a bite to eat in an attempt to lift some of the burden off his grandmother.

My touring schedule eventually overwhelmed me, and Darius also began to overwhelm me, because, I have to admit, I wasn't really ready to take on a charge that needed SO MUCH- he was a need vacuum. I could have spent all day every day with him, fed him, taught him drums, bought him clothes and shoes, but there was no way to make up for all the lost time and absentee parents.

Much to my shame, I let him slip away.

Last night I heard from one of his former teachers that he was in jail.

I am trying to get all the info so I can go visit him and apologize.

CRAP.

Other details;

Wife = not pregnant. Still gonna keep taking shots on the goal.

Old band- reuniting for a show this weekend after eight years apart.

House = completely primed, ready to be caulked and painted.

A little good, a little bad.

This morning, Catherine, after bathing, put on some sweet smelling moisturising lotion and asked me as usual to rub some on her back. Then she went downstairs. When I got down she had just breast fed our baby and was putting him into his little basket. I noticed an un-rubbed in blob of the stuff on her arm and, rubbing it in to her skin with my palm, said she'd missed a bit. "That's sick", she said.

I just put my Trader Joe's overpriced beef jerky in marinade and will be making it into actual, flavorful jerky tonight.

Stupid. Fucking. California Hippies. How can you mess up beef jerky?

So, I've been dating this woman for about a month. Nothing serious, but it's been going pretty well so far. While talking on the phone this evening, she shared this quote from her mother, whom I had my first serious meeting with last weekend.

"Wait, he thinks I'm nice? Aren't I supposed to be tough?"
