Well, as far as I'm aware, West Ham have to accept an offer for Tevez if it meets with the approval of the shady consortium who 'own' him and Mascherano. What he wants or thinks is academic, I think.
Which is a shame, because he's finally found his feet and his confidence and from what I've heard has been our best player (by some way) in the last few matches. Some of the 'Baby Bentley' cunts could learn a thing or two about work ethics from Carlos.
He seems to be totally committed to the club at the moment. However, there is no way he'll be playing in the Championship next year, and you can take that to the bank. The same can be said for Anton and Reo-Cockhead, but I'll be sad to see 'the apache' go....

I wouldn't blame Tevez for leaving though if he did, but I could also understand him staying if he had fallen in love with the club, but yeah, he's not really going to be playing in the Championship is he. Before he came to West Ham (no hyphen!) he was probably told that they were a pretty decent club, something which they haven't been this season.

Any ideas about why Alex Ferguson has been to several of the West Ham games in the past couple of months? I was just bouncing some extremely amatuer theories...

To gloat over their current misfortune, as he's never forgiven them that time they secured Blackburn the Premiership??? I jest.

Maybe he wants to double his Ferdinand factor. I heard that the other WH players call Anton "Three-Oh", because whatever hairstyle, car, knob adornment etc Rio gets, Anton gets three weeks later. THough this is may well be unfair and untrue in equal measures

It wouldn't be too bizarre if Tevez stayed with West Ham in the Championship. He'd destroy that division, especially with Dean Ashton back alongside him. West Ham can cushion the financial blow of relegation by getting rid of the nonsense that is Anton Ferdinand and Nigel Reo-Coker, and by keeping Tevez, Ashton and Zamora they'd pretty much guarantee an immediate return.

I guess it depends on Tevez's owners, but weren't West Ham talking about buying him outright a few weeks ago? Maybe he's got the bubbles under his skin. There's a hint of the Kinkladzes about him at the moment, where you wonder if he did sign for Arsenal or Liverpool whether his magical football powers would suddenly disappear, but for as long as he's as at West Ham he's a superstar.

Leeds lost to a late goal at Southampton, and Hull won through a last minute goal from ex-Leeds Nick Barmby. Leeds are in serious trouble now. The commentary on ITV's The Championship on Sunday morning was delivered in such doom-laden tones, it drove me to do something I haven't done all season: buy a ticket for next Saturday. Leeds v Ipswich, last home game of the season, possibly the last home game in the 'big time' of Division Two. I, er, can't wait, like.
