Yes! That's one of the reasons I got that one.

Surprisingly, it plays great. It has an iffy zero fret that rattles & creaks a bit when you bend a string, but it doesn't seem to come through when amplified.
That dog won't hunt, monsignor.

I got it from the guy in Madison. He'd put it up 3 or 4 times before I saw it, and kept lowering the price, he told me I was the only guy to respond. Apparently he found it a few years ago at a Goodwill?!

I have a black Yamaha RGX and a sunburst Epiphone Special II, both of which go mostly unused. My main guitars are these two:

Kingston KEG-2. Picked it up for $25 a couple years ago. Plywood body, two single coil pickups, on-off toggles for each (rather than a pickup selector). I ripped one of the toggles out of its place after I got a bit too rowdy with it, and it fell inside the guitar, sadly while in the "off" position. So technically only the neck pickup works. It's still a great little find, noisy as hell but with a sweet tone to it. It's also evidently been through a couple painting "accidents" -- I plan to just sand it down to natural.

Strat ripoff made by Simon. Believe it or not, it sounds and plays amazingly. It's obvious that the components are cheap, but it's really solidly constructed and, with fresh strings and metal picks, it makes a really bright, grinding clean tone like no other guitar ever.
I was running sound at a show a couple months ago, and the guitarist of this one band broke a string on his ultra-nice ESP Ltd., and whipped out this yellow thing, his backup guitar. You could tell he hated it -- he actually tried to smash it out of anger because it "sounded so single-coily and gay" -- and so I offered to take it off his hands. He figured it was half-broken to begin with, so he named a price of $20 and I took it from him. Other than the fact that he haphazardly strung his strings, which caused some weird tension issues, it's in perfectly playable condition. Afterwards, I altered the pickguard slightly and slapped some stickers on it. Best find ever.

I'm hoping hoping hoping to get a Ric sometime in the future. Or a Bean.
