Once again, in the “no one else here watched or will admit to watching” category:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
This movie is a hot fucking mess.
I kinda liked it and want to watch it again, though was 30 minutes too long. Best Marvel film in a long time. Good soundtrack.
Best peta campaign in a long time.
Pretty good movie. (And I remember the old prf pronounced volume 1 the greatest movie ever.)
It works on pretty much whatever level you choose. There’s always an extra 30 minutes for the people who have to watch every post credits scene and YouTube Easter egg video.

Haven’t been in the habit of watching many “proper films” at all these past few months, but am excited about this: a new Aki Kaurismaki joint,
Fallen Leaves, premiering at Cannes soon. He’d suggested he was retired a while back.

Air
This was good. HEAVY on 80s nostalgia. Great soundtrack.
Despite already knowing how it ends, was still tense and then uplifting.
Yeah, that was really good.

My wife and I just watched Nicole Holofcener’s You Hurt My Feelings. We both really liked it!

Watched Tender Mercies last night - one of those I had never got around to. Lovely film, and so well performed.

Watched Beau is Afraid this weekend. There were a few things I admired about it, but I wouldn't watch it again. I thought it did a good job at depicting anxiety early on, and the whole perception that the outside world is full of danger and should be avoided.
