i was 22 when i first started lurking here. i'm 26 now.

I was at the REM concert a couple weeks ago when a drunk teenage-looking kid sat down next to the lady-friend & myself and started chatting us up. After a little while:
Him: 'How old are you guys?'
Her: '28'
Me: '27'
Him: 'Wow, you guys are really cool for older folks. Usually the older you get, the more of an asshole you become.'
And here I was thinking I was a huge asshole.

In the right hands, this anecdote could be a great lead in/inspiration for any number of essays/fictions/treatises.
