And implemented not b/c of violent acts or uprisings at all, but by... gradual policy decisions.

It's not like Billy and his militia buddies made any of that happen or had much to do w/it in the first place.

Never mind that these are huge, broad, giant, complex things that you certainly won't solve by simplistic acts of violence, ie detonating bombs, killing people, posting memes, or whatever.

So everyone who was part of the pro-life movement or the Chicago School of Economics or the Tea Party has somehow martyred themselves for their cause?

Modern times, modern methods. Crude old "revolutionary" tactics are akin to fighting an airforce w/bayonets. You might get lucky every so often, but more often, you'll miss your targets completely.

While not speaking on behalf of anyone in this thread I am not advocating for simplistic acts of violence. I understand it and won't shed any tears dependent on the subject, but, I, myself don't have the mettle being proactive in that approach. If I see shit going down though I get involved, and from some of the responses in this thread I'm afraid their allyship only goes so far which is too bad since the other side is willing to go there and has stated as such.

Good to know who really has your back.

Again much ado about rhetorical, hypothetical violence. If you and I were at a rock show together and some Nazi skins showed up and were trying to stomp you, fuck yeah I'd get in the mix and I can't even recall your actual first name. That very hypothetical act of violence on my part is not particularly political and it's definitely not revolutionary.

Maybe half of the disconnect in this thread lately is semantic (or maybe just my disconnect). I don't give a shit if someone punches a nazi. Seems a pretty sane response to me. That's not really violence as a tool for changing the political reality to me. It's just standard citizenship.

I've taken three beatings in my life for other people. I personally consider that as having someone's back. Do you think taking a beating for you counts as hiving your back, or do I actually need to spontaneously crush someone's skull under a cinderblock?

We own the labor. There are more of us than them. We need massive work stoppages. Flash worker's protests. Support front line workers with ground roots action and donations. We can force the DNC to represent us because we can halt the economy. If the DNC doesn't jump in and start representing us, a worker's party will fill the vacuum. We can make it impossible to have a meal in their favorite restaurants. Piss in their golfbags. Complete hospitality industry stoppage. We can party in their neighborhoods at night in masses so large police couldn't hope to disburse us. We can deny them pleasure, and sleep and the feeling of superiority. We can make life miserable for them. Fucking god-awful, hide-in-your-safe-room miserable.

When a billionaire shows their face anywhere, they need to hear and see our disgust. We should point them out to our friends so that they can join us in our contempt of them. Not a minute of rest for these filthy fucks.

'Rich people' have generally given up their claim to be human, imo. We need to stop being impressed with mega-wealth and be revolted by it. They dehumanize us for who we are. We should demonize them for what they aren't. In many instances, they should be tried for their crimes. In many instances corporate board members are responsible for innumerable deaths.
Agree with all of this.
