I was thinking about saying something along those lines but feared I might be asked to do the same. I don't know if I am willing to take that on right now!

thanks!

does any of the stuff you ripped carry any kind of la musica catalog numbers, btw? i have always wondered about that. the tapes all have catalog numbers but i've never seen one assigned to the cd-r's...

as far as i know no, i don't think he has put out anything new in a while (it was just his private label anyways, he pretty much used it to release his own work and all those les rallizes cd-r box sets). i am hardly an insider, though.

No. These are definitely not La Musica releases. I assume they are burned by the guy I bought 'em from, a guy on ebay who lives here in California. Maybe he knows someone who has the La Musica originals. Maybe he has them. They might not even be copies of La Musica releases, they might be bootlegs. The package he sold me lists no information at all, besides the legend "Made in Germany", which can't be true, or shouldn't be. Usually he sells Rallizes CDs.

I was thinking that asahito nanjo group musica - contemporary kagura-metaphysicswas recent, but just looked and it was recorded in 1993-94.

musica transonic - xyosfbigkou came out in 2006. I haven't heard it. Is it more stuff from the archives?

From what I have read, Nanjo has released Tori Kudo, Kosokuya and many other artists as La Musica cassettes. Who knows? I sure as hell don't. I'm happy enough to come across High Rise stuff I haven't heard before.

"musica transonic - xyosfbigkou came out in 2006."

Is that the thing on a Polish label or something? I haven't heard it but based on Kawabata's comments, it must have been stuff that was recorded a long time ago. I think Nanjo just keeps digging into the archives but lately those seem to be pretty dry.

Really wish that guy would do something new. Narita's solo stuff but not nearly as thrilling as his guitar slaying in High Rise. I also loved when Shoji Hano was with High Rise for the first U.S. tour. That guy made for an incredible rock drummer. If you haven't heard it, the last real album "Desperado" on PSF was a motherfucker - a lot of which was because of how intense Hano's drumming is on that sucker.

Bedhead, Live at Bennington College, April 20th, 1998. The sound quality is great, I'm no expert, but it sounds pretty professional. I wasn't able to find out anything about the show on google other than the fact that it happened.
