Not crap. YFIIP is good in different ways. It's very produced, but I like what they've done.
Slight waffles for live performance. It can get a bit Live Aid when they start getting extra performers and guests on stage.

I thought all their stuff is overproduced, but in a good way. You can actually tell the difference when Dave Newfeld get his hands on the sliders, say BSS records vs their solo records, and it's usually weaker sounding when Dave's not producing. Saw them once in a 5-piece, minus the girls and horns; they sounded terrible.
I also like Andrew Whiteman's Apostle of Hustle's 1st record (which Dave also produced), but the 2nd record sucked (which Dave dint produce). Kevin Drew's solo wasn't working for me, but I thought Brendan Canning's solo record is nice.
