To append this thread with some meaningless personal nonsense:

I bought a Chavez promotional disk recently, due to the amount of discussion they attracted here. Upon my first listen, I wrote it off as the kind of sing-songy college crybaby rock I usually can't stand.

Today I brought it to work, as it seemed like it might be palatable enough to avoid eliciting derision from some co-workers/the boss. Well, it failed on the latter count, but after listening to it all day I now like it quite a bit.

Thanks to you all for adding yet another stream of titles to my 'need-to-purchase' list.
