Jihad means "struggle", often of a religeous nature. When the guy says "this is my jihad" he probably does not mean "this is my holy war". It appears that the scotsman.com article has derived from this tiny quote that the guy is trying to start a holy war against burger king. So I would question the neutrality of this writer.

NBC Offends Christians Again

(CNSNews.com) - A conservative advocacy group accuses NBC of "hitting back" at the Christian community in an upcoming episode of "Will and Grace."

The April 13 episode will mock the crucifixion of Christ, the American Family Association said.

It's pretty transparent ( at least to me ) that these protests are less about opposing depictions of Mohammed than they are about the adrenalin rush that comes from joining a gang and using that power to make others do what you say.

It's about making small people feel big. And I have the same opinion of every other organized religious witch hunt on free speech or free media. All the evangelical crackpots in America are just as sickening - these are weak people who can't grasp the concept that the world was made for all types, not just their clones and fellow lemmings.

I mean really, god damn all non-atheists who try to police those outside their flock. Police your followers, they're the ones who signed up.

Maybe I just don't get it, but if there is a rule in the Koran not to draw pictures of the prophet, then isn't that a Muslim-only rule?

Restricting free speech just forces it underground. You can’t control what people think and feel. Banning certain “ideas” from the public sphere does nothing, even if they are crappy, racist, hateful etc.

I was commenting on the views of a few drunk Italian friends not offering my own view.

For the record I think allowing them to make there point and then arresting any of them are are promoting murder is how I'd approach it. Of course they are free to express themselves, but if they express something that is illegal, like murder... well, off to jail you go.
