Last night I saw a great vintage clip of the Floyd doing "Set the Controls..." on VH1 Classic. Everything was drenched in this cool bloody red color that even managed to obscure how ugly Roger Waters was.
Anyway, today I'm really "feeling" "A Saucerful Of Secrets."

sweet! i was just listening to piper at the gates of dawn on my way to work this morning. i still think syd was a musical genius, and his guitar playing and vocals and songwriting were all aces. but some of the songs on that one, at this point in my life anyways, are starting to make me go "hmmm". but still, like 35 years later, i dig the hell outta that album. not that i'm 35, but the album is.

I've only heard a few songs by them, but i found it kind of pretentious. Maybe because I dont know any of their previous works (albeit, i havent checked), talented musicians though. Talented, annoying musicians.

Not much in the way of "new stuff"...
Hall + Oates, Martin Tielli, Birthday Party, High on Fire and Gang of Four...
Now that I think about it, this is a pretty wierd mix of music...

goddamn, i wish every day was a DEVO day. it was when i was 15.
lately i've been listening to the shit out of that Rhino "Recombo DNA" set of demos and stuff. it's great. DEVOtees would do well to check it out.
saw prince a week ago and that's pretty much all i've listened to since. especially "dirty mind". what a great record.

One normally wouldn't see a list of bands like this without there being a couple "is worse/better thans" or "I only own 2 of these cd's" or something along those lines. Definitely get props for variety.
Mudhoney day today
Everyday is a Don Caballero day. Always need the amazement.
