I think we watched it at the same time. Film Four, right? Its the second time I've seen it but couldn't sit through it to the end again. Not that I think its a bad movie just too fucking sad a story to watch if you're not in the mood.

I was thinking the exact same thing as you regarding the Sonic Youth footage. I don't think it was a reconstruction either. I can accept the incredible amount of footage of Daniel's life because he obsessively made audio and video recordings but the rest of it I find hard to fathom. Did everyone in the 80's underground music scenes document their lives for posterity?

I did not believe Gibby Haynes one little bit either.

Great flick.

"Dead Dogs Eyeball" is my fave album of the 90's and a top ten all time.
