Woman,
You know you,
Woman,
You gotta be,
Woman,
I've got to feeling alone,
When you're talking to me, see right through me,
I've got to feeling alone

She's a woman, you know what i mean,
You better listen, listen to me
She's gonna set you free oh oh yeah....

Jesus, Sir Lord Baltimore was more poetic than this bullshit. "Lady of Fire" is a goddamn Yeats poem compared to this.

Sir Lord Baltimore wrote:FIIIIIIIII-YAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

Walked on the street
Couldn't go to sleep
She asked me to try her
The lady of fire

She asked if I could
I said that I would
Tried to satisfy her
the lady of fire
etc. etc. I probably messed those up a bit, but see what I mean? That's fucking hilarious!

CRAP.

Black Led/DC

That's easy for you to say- you live in NYC, mecca for dumb-pretending-to-be-smart bands and music snobs. I would be jaded by all that over-analyzed music too if I lived down there.

Worse is dumb-pretending-to-be-smart-pretending-to-be-dumb bands, of which there were a great deal in Austin, and methinks the Austinites that relocated to NY continued to make the music of shitty surprise.

I hate to harp on this, I really do, but Austin sucks.

That's disappointing - no bands like the Dicks around anymore? (I assume that if there were, we'd have heard of them by now...)

not crap. saw them at the big day out before they were big, and they rocked. nothing wrong with some good old rip off rock out with your cock out roll. yeah, its brainless, yeah, its simple, but its FUN, people! too much over analysis of the simple stuff. new poll: fun/ not fun!!

sometimes it's about drinkin a beers and having a laugh rather than dissecting every detail .I think this is what these guys, and indeed the darkness are about!

Right but these guys are getting rewarded like they did something unique. It's like a kid who wins a poster contest in Jr. high and then goes to the Venice Biennale.

Like most people who get nominated for Grammys- let alone win them- are the type of artists I, for one, would choose to listen to anyway.

I haven't heard enough to make a call.

But I've seen them multiple times on the late-night TV circuit playing the same "woman" song. Every time, the bass player - after he was done playing the keyboard - would tip the keyboard onto it's side as if it had some purpose behind it.

I intepereted it as him making pre-meditated "rock" moves. Am I wrong?
