One of the reasons they use tons of different beats in one song is because the timing was a little funny on the machine and if they kept a beat or sample going too long it would get out of sync with the other parts.

Beat me to it. One of my favourite albums ever. It’s a shame about the follow up.


A lot of Odd Nosdam's (The guy behind all of the music on the cLOUDDEAD LP) Burner was recorded on the same portastudio used on the cLOUDDEAD record. It's good. Odd Nosdam and Why? put out another record under the name Reaching Quiet that was also recorded using the same portastudio. Some people like it. I am not one of them.
